Ethernet Extenders are LAN modules that can be used on almost any wiring to transparently drive Ethernet communications beyond the IEEE 802.3 specifications for distance limitation of 328 feet or 100 meters. Traditionally fiber has been the only solution available to extend your LAN until wireless spectrum Wi-Fi standards were available.
